Starting today I am hosting some of my writer friends as guest bloggers. I came up with the questions. The answers are entirely theirs. I am pleased to have author Tina Wainscott as my first guest. Tina was my very first writer friend and she’s always been tremendously supportive as well as being a great writer. Get to know her a little better here and by posting a comment at the end of the blog you are entered to win a copy of her latest release, Falling Fast.
Someone just gave you the best compliment ever. What was it?
Someone in my writing chapter thanked me for continuing to be part of the group and for my contributions. I enjoy mingling with my fellow writers, because who knows crazy like we do?!?
You have no choice but to live your life from now on as one of your characters. Which character is it and why?
Hm, that’s tough, as I put my heroines through a lot! Perhaps I’d choose Ruby Salazar from one of my Jaime Rush books: DRAGON AWAKENED. She can turn into a Dragon at will, which would be pretty cool. She lives in a dangerous world, beyond the usual urban Miami life, navigating around magical beings who don’t always play nice.
You can never write another work of fiction. What will you do instead?
Photography. I love finding neat scenes in life and nature.
You get a month off from your regular personal life and writing routine. You can spend it doing which of the following? Feel free to elaborate.
Reading
Traveling – traveling the world, getting to know different cultures. Nothing imbues writing with depth like experiencing life and people!
Cooking
Sleeping
Other (fill in the blank)
You get one do-over from your life so far. What is it?
I’d be more assertive with my writing career, I think. Align myself with more assertive people and move on from stagnant situations earlier than I did. But I’m a big believer that even the “bad” things that happen in our lives teach us to be better people.
Optional: Name one person who has either influenced you the most or you learned the most from and why.
Janet Evanovich, who gave me a kick in the tush figuratively speaking when I needed it and taught me to be more savvy and smarter with my career choices.
Falling Fast by Tina Wainscott
She was supposed to be a summer romance, but Raleigh fell fast for the only person who made him feel worthy of love. He was supposed to be a fling with a bad boy, but he made Mia feel alive … until a tragic accident tore them apart. Seven years later, fate throws them together and, with the same breath, threatens to separate them forever.
